Crossing description and focal points:

University Avenue is a two-lane road with no sidewalks.

Comments as a part of the study on this crossing are open; however, the decision to close this crossing has been previously approved. Comments will be shared with the City of Fayetteville to understand how this intersection is used and developing future travel options for vehicles and pedestrians.

This crossing will be closed as a part of the 2019 Transportation Bond Project and was passed by Fayetteville City Council on August 18, 2020. The City has an agreement with AMRR since 2020 to open two new crossings on Gregg Avenue at Futrall Drive and Shiloh Drive. The University Avenue crossing was identified and approved to be closed in place of the new crossings.
